About 27 tonnes of humanitarian aid for the people of the Gaza Strip have been delivered to Egypt, the Russian Ministry of Emergencies (EMERCOM) said on Tuesday.The department's Il-76 plane took off from the Russian airport of Makhachkala and arrived at the Egyptian El Arish airport. There, the humanitarian cargo was passed to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, who will deliver it to the residents of the Gaza Strip.The delivery of cargo was organized on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin and under the direction of the head of the EMERCOM Alexander Kurenkov.According to the ministry, the aid included products, baby food, clothing, shoes, and hygiene items.On October 7, Palestinian movement Hamas launched a surprise large-scale rocket attack against Israel from the Gaza Strip and breached the border, killing and abducting people in neighboring Israeli communities.
