Two drones were launched to hit the Ain al-Asad military base in Al Anbar Governorate on Sunday night and on Monday morning, but both of them were intercepted by the armed forces, the sources told the news agency. Blinken paid a visit to Baghdad on Sunday to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani. During his trip, the US Secretary of State said Washington was not seeking a conflict with Tehran, but it would do what is necessary to protect US personnel in the region from militias that it believes are allegedly backed by Iran.
