The European Union has welcomed the International Guiding Principles on Artificial Intelligence, aimed at ensuring safety and security within AI use, which was agreed by G7 leaders on Monday.The president added that the acceleration in AI use brings new challenges, which need to be tackled on a global level.Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has issued an order establishing "new standards for AI safety and security," the White House said on Monday.The executive order will protect the US citizens from potential risks of AI systems, advance equity and civil rights, support workers, promote innovation and competition and many more, according to the statement.On May 19, the G7 Hiroshima Artificial Intelligence Process was established to ensure security of AI use and provide risk-based, legally binding rules for AI systems on a global level.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Group of Seven (G7) recently announced global guidelines and a conduct code for companies developing advanced artificial intelligence technology to tackle privacy concerns and the possibility of improper use.
The European Union has welcomed the International Guiding Principles on Artificial Intelligence, aimed at ensuring safety and security within AI use, which was agreed
by G7 leaders on Monday.
"I am pleased to welcome the G7 international Guiding Principles and the voluntary Code of Conduct, reflecting EU values to promote trustworthy AI. I call on AI developers to sign and implement this Code of Conduct as soon as possible," European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said.
The president added that the

"Today, President Biden issued a landmark Executive Order to ensure that America leads the way in seizing the promise and managing the risks of artificial intelligence (AI)," the statement read.
