On Saturday, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced the next phase of the operation in Gaza, which will continue until a new order is given. In addition, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said Saturday that the Jewish state's objectives in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict require a ground operation in the Gaza Strip.Overnight, Israeli airstrikes destroyed hundreds of buildings in the Gaza Strip, according to the Civil Defense in the Hamas-controlled Palestinian territory, worsening the humanitarian situation in the Strip.Although a number of humanitarian aid shipments have made their way into Gaza in recent days, the humanitarian situation in the Strip, which is under a total Israeli blockade of food, water, medicine, electricity, fuel, and recently even the Internet, is worsening by the day.Meanwhile, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari on Saturday once again called on Gazans to urgently leave the northern part of the Strip and Gaza City and move south for their "immediate safety" ahead of a planned ground invasion of Gaza.Check out Sputnik Africa's gallery, covering the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip!

Hamas launched an unprecedented attack in southern Israel, prompting Israel to declare war and launch retaliatory bombing raids on Gaza.
