Earlier in October, during the International Astronautical Congress (IAC-2023) held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, the head of the Russian space corporation Roscosmos proposed to the BRICS group to create a separate specialized module on the Russian Orbital Station (ROS) to develop cooperation in space exploration.
Russia needs to more actively develop the export of space services to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"Today, the markets of Asia, Africa, and Latin America are developing more and more actively. Our partners in the CIS, EAEC, SCO, BRICS, and other associations have large-scale social and economic plans. They are ready to create new segments of the economy, increase their technological potential. And, of course, Russia must support this desire, we have something to offer here. And therefore I think it is important to more actively develop the export of our space products and services," Putin said at a meeting on the development of the rocket and space industry.
