On October 17, hundreds of Palestinian civilians were killed in a strike on a hosptal in Gaza.
Preliminary information from the Palestinian Health Ministry said the stike on the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in central Gaza was conducted by Israel, and resulted in more than 500 deaths and wounded Palestinians.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Israeli military was not involved in the strike, while the Israel Defense forces said, following "an additional review and cross-examination of the operational and intelligence systems," that the Israeli military did not strike the hospital, adding that it was hit as a result of a failed rocket launched by the Islamic Jihad movement.
