Eight African countries have rightfully earned their esteemed positions among the top ten diamond producing nations worldwide, demonstrating the continent's enduring significance in the industry.

Topping the chart is Botswana, solidifying its reputation as Africa's largest diamond producer and securing an impressive second place on the global stage, trailing only Russia. With a staggering production volume of 24.5 million carats and a value of $4.7 billion, Botswana's diamond industry continues to make a resounding impact that transcends borders.
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) established its strong presence in second place among African nations, proudly standing as the world's fourth-largest diamond producer with a production volume of 9.9 million carats and a value of $65 million.
South Africa, long known for its long history of diamond production, took third place among African nations and proudly stood as the world's fifth-largest diamond producer. Producing 9.6 million carats and generating a production value of more than $1.5 billion, South Africa's contribution reflects commitment to excellence in diamond mining.
Angola adds to Africa's diamond prowess, securing the sixth position globally and boasting a production volume of 8.7 million carats. With a production value of $1.9 billion, Angola's diamond industry showcases its commitment to sustainable and responsible mining practices, a vital aspect valued by consumers worldwide.
The list continues with Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Guinea, each making its own valuable contribution to Africa's diamond production landscape.
