MOSCOW (Sputnik) - On October 14, at least 31 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) were neutralized in the Lugansk People's Republic, and the Zaporozhye, Kharkov and Kherson regions by the Russian air defense systems, the country's defense ministry reported.
Russian air defense shot down 27 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones, with 18 of them being destroyed over Russia’s Kursk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on October 15.
"Tonight, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using fixed-wing drones on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped. Twenty-seven Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted by air defense systems, of which 18 over the Kursk Region and two over the Belgorod Region were destroyed in the air," the ministry said on Telegram.

On October 14, the ministry said that Russian air defense systems shot down 31 Ukrainian drones in the Lugansk People's Republic, and the Zaporozhye, Kharkov and Kherson regions. Moreover, according to the ministry, in the Donetsk direction, Ukraine lost over 185 troops along with some military equipment and weaponry. In the South Donetsk direction, Kiev's losses amount to 170 fighters. In the Kupyansk and Krasny Lyman directions, Ukrainian forces lost about 240 servicepeople.
As for Kiev's losses since the start of its counteroffensive in June, on October 5 the Russian President Vladimir Putin revealed that Ukrainian military units have lost over 90,000 people so far.
