MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A number of Russia's western regions, such as Bryansk, Belgorod and Kurskoblasts have been particularly often targeted by Kiev's military and terrorist activities, including shellings and actions of sabotage groups, since the beginning of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian armed forces shelled the Pogarsky, Klimovsky, Trubchevsky and Sevsky districts of Russia's Bryansk region overnight, Governor Alexander Bogomaz said Wednesday.

"Ukrainian terrorists shelled the Sevsky, Pogarsky, Klimovskya and Trubchevsky districts with cluster munitions using multiple rocket launchers. According to the preliminary information, there are no casualties. There is partial destruction of residential houses and outbuildings," the governor said on Telegram, adding that all necessary emergency services were working on site.

Russian Troops ‘Quickly’ Adapting to Cluster Bombs as Ukraine Fails to Reach Main Defensive Lines
Earlier on Wednesday, Bogomaz said on Telegram that air defenses shot down a Ukrainian aircraft-type drone over the region, adding that there were no casualties or material as a result.
Cluster munitions are seen as particularly dagerous for the civilians, as smaller sub-munitions tend to stay stuck in the soil for a long time since the bombings.
