Sputnik Launches Cooperation With Tunisia's Leading News Agency
Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) is a Tunisian news agency founded in 1961 and based in the capital of the North African country. The 62-year-old agency covers news in Arabic, French and English. This year, Najeh Missaoui was appointed CEO of TAP.
The Sputnik news agency and radio station and the TAP news agency have agreed to intensify the exchange of content in Arabic, English and French. Their signature under the collaboration agreement during an online ceremony was affixed by Sputnik's Director of International Cooperation, Vasily Pushkov, and the CEO of TAP, Najeh Missaoui.
"We hope that today's ceremony and the signing of this document will mark the beginning of a mutually beneficial exchange of content between our agencies, as well as exchanges of journalist delegations," Najeh Missaoui said.
"We always emphasize that first-hand information about what is happening in different countries around the world is very important to us, so the conclusion of this agreement is of great value to us. Russia and Tunisia are currently collaborating in many areas, and I'm convinced that the
media should be one of them," Vasily Pushkov added.
The agreement with the TAP news agency is the first partnership document with a Tunisian media outlet in Sputnik's portfolio.
