WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Hunter Biden has been granted conditional release after pleading not guilty to three felony firearms charges, according to a court order filed on Tuesday.
Prosecutors allege that Biden lied about his illegal drug use when purchasing a handgun in 2018. Biden appeared at a US court in the state of Delaware to face arraignment on the charges, to which he pleaded not guilty.

Biden was granted release on conditions including: not committing any crimes; not possessing a firearm; cooperating with DNA sampling; appearing in court as required; communicating international travel plans; and submitting to drug tests, the court order said.

Biden faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted on the firearms charges. US President Joe Biden has said that he would not pardon his son if he were convicted.
According to experts and recent opinion polls, Hunter Biden's case of "more than a little questionable behavior" is hurting President Biden's image and reputation right ahead of the 2024 elections.
