The Nigerien Party for Democracy and Socialism, which is headed by ousted Nigerien President Mohamed Bazoum, opposed possible military intervention in the country by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Nigerien media reported on Saturday, citing a party statement.The party also noted the possible negative consequences of the intervention for people held by the rebels, as well as for the country's population as a whole, the ANP news agency reported.
