VLADIVOSTOK (Sputnik) - Rosatom is the Russian state nuclear corporation, which is engaged in all segments of the nuclear fuel cycle, from uranium mining to decommissioning of nuclear facilities. The company works on projects on the construction of nuclear power plants in at least 10 countries around the world.
India is actively discussing with Russia the possibility of building a low-power nuclear power plant, including floating power units, Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom head Alexey Likhachev said on Tuesday.
"The Indian side is actively discussing with us issues of ... [low-power] nuclear power plants, including floating ones, and the creation of research nuclear reactors," Likhachev told reporters on the sidelines of the ongoing Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok.
The 8th edition of the EEF is taking place on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University from September 10-13.

Russia's Rosatom Proposes to Create Nuclear Power Fleet for Africa
As for other countries, with whom Rosatom enhances cooperation, during the Russia-Africa Summit, which took place in late July, the corporation signed intergovernmental agreements on cooperation in the field of use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes with Zimbabwe and Burundi.
Moreover, Russian nuclear fuel company TVEL, a subsidiary of Rosatom, signed a memorandum on cooperation with South African Nuclear Energy Corporation Nesca in the field of nuclear fuel production.
