MOSCOW, (Sputnik) – Ukraine has been shelling peaceful settlements in Russia's western regions (such as Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod oblasts). Since the beginning of Russia's special military operation, they have been ruining the lives of civilians and sending sabotage groups to terrorize ordinary people.
More than 70 major terrorist attacks, including on energy facilities, military and civilian aircraft have been prevented in Russia since the beginning of the country's special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022, Russian Security Council Deputy Secretary Yuri Kokov said on Sunday.

"Since February 2022, over 70 major terrorist attacks have been prevented, including attempts to blow up the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, high-voltage power lines in the Leningrad and Tver regions, the Uglich hydroelectric station, and civil and military aircraft at their bases. Sabotage attempts have been thwarted at energy and transport facilities in Crimea, Lipetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions," Kokov told the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper.

He also noted that thousands of Ukrainian drones that were targeting military and civilian targets in Russia had been eliminated since February 2022.
In September 2022, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said it had prevented a terrorist attack by Ukrainian special services on a complex which supplies oil and gas to Turkey and Europe. A month later, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Kiev had tried to carry out an explosion at one of the sections of the Turkish Stream.
In May 2023, the FSB announced the prevention of sabotage attempts at high-voltage power lines associated with the Leningrad and Kalinin nuclear power plants.
