Three Turkish officials familiar with the matter told the news agency that Ankara is calling on G20 leaders to assist with insurance of Russian food and fertilizer exports by the Lloyd's of London company, as well as to reconnect Russian banks to the SWIFT international payment system.Meetings on the issue between Erdogan and other leaders are being held behind closed doors, the sources said.On July 18, Russia pulled out of the UN- and Turkey-brokered grain export deal with Ukraine, saying that its demands were repeatedly ignored. According to Moscow, Russia was promised at the signing of the pact in June 2022 that its food and fertilizer exports would be exempted from Western sanctions, but no curbs were lifted.

Three Turkish officials familiar with the matter told the news agency that Ankara is calling on G20 leaders to
