NATO countries use 155 mm caliber artillery shells. The United States supplied Ukraine with long-range M777 155-mm howitzers, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Ukrainian troops shelled the areas of Donetsk and the village of Golmovsky, firing 22 155 mm caliber shells and seven 152 mm caliber shells, the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) representative office in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) of issues related to Ukraine's war crimes reported.
"Gunfire was recorded from the armed formations of Ukraine: [at] 7:55 (coincides with Moscow time) three 155 mm caliber shells were fired at the settlement of Kurakhovka - the city of Donetsk (Kirov district)... [at] 8:00 - three 155 mm caliber shells were fired [toward] the settlement of Kurakhovka - the city of Donetsk (Kirovskiy district)," the representative office said.
