"The defense ministry is repelling a drone attack at Pskov's airport. I have been personally on the scene since the incident began. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. The scale of destruction is being clarified," Vedernikov said on Telegram, adding that he will provide more information after an operational headquarters meeting. The regional governor further indicated that all flights have been suspended until at least Thursday to assess damages at the airport. Rescuers on the scene have noted that a fire broke out at the facility; however, the blaze poses no threat of spreading. The Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations detailed that an IL-76 military transport aircraft had caught fire in the aftermath in Russia's Pskov. Officials added that 21 units of equipment and 65 people were involved to extinguish the fire. The latest efforts by Russian defenses come hours after a Russian fighter jet destroyed a Ukrainian drone over the Black Sea in addition to an anti-ship cruise missile along with nearly 30 drones over the last 24 hours.Over the last several months, the Ukrainian regime has repeatedly relied on drone attacks as part of the much-touted counteroffensive effort, which has largely proved unsuccessful. Oftentimes, Kiev's operations have been focused on striking civilian infrastructure; in fact, two strikes against the Crimean Bridge claimed the lives of five individuals and left a child injured.
