MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The government of Gabon has taken French broadcasters RFI and France 24 off air, France Medias Monde said Sunday.
The state-owned media group said it was "surprised by this provisional suspension… which is depriving the Gabonese of two of their main sources of reliable and independent information."
French media reported on Saturday that Gabon would be put into a nightly curfew from Sunday following a general election. An internet blackout was reportedly in place since Saturday.
