MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Two people were injured after the wreckage of a drone fell in the Istrinsky District in the Moscow Region, Governor Andrey Vorobyov said on Monday.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian air defense systems suppressed a Ukrainian drone by means of electronic warfare, adding that the drone crashed in the Moscow Region. Later, the ministry said that the on-duty air defense forces had destroyed another Ukrainian aircraft-type drone over the Istrinsky District in the Moscow Region.
"There are two injured — a man was hospitalized in a medical facility, a woman refused hospitalization. Windows were also shattered in three houses. All emergency services are on site," Vorobyov wrote on Telegram.
Earlier in the day, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said that the Russian air defense forces have shot down a drone that was approaching the city, adding that there are no casualties or damage.
"Air defense forces shot down a drone that was trying to fly up to Moscow. There is no damage or casualties," Sobyanin wrote on Telegram.
