Russia Condemns Kiev's Attack on Crimean Bridge, Promises to Respond

Russia strongly condemns Ukraine's attempted attack on the Crimean Bridge, a civilian object, and will not leave it unanswered, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Saturday.
"We strongly condemn these terrorist attacks. The Crimean Bridge is an object of purely civilian infrastructure, and attacks on it are unacceptable," Zakharova said in a statement.
The Ukrainian military is trying to compensate for its failures on the battlefield by targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, the spokeswoman continued.
"Such diversions give the international community an opportunity to once again see for itself the true nature of the Kiev regime. There can be no justification for such barbaric actions and they will not go unanswered," Zakharova added.
The Crimean Bridge has been targeted by Ukraine on a number of occasions. One of the most recent attacks took place on July 17 and involved sea drones that killed a couple who were driving across the bridge when it was bombed. Their teenage daughter was injured.
