How Sizeable is Niger's Army in Light of Possible Intervention?

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) summit on Thursday decided to activate a standby force to "restore constitutional order" in Niger, making the prospect of military intervention more tangible.
ECOWAS had previously given Niger's coup leaders one week to return the ousted President, Mohamed Bazoum, to power, threatening to use force if they refused. However, the ultimatum expired on Sunday without decisive action.
Experts say that the military intervention, if launched, will be extremely complex and will not achieve a quick victory.
The main military burden will rest on the shoulders of Nigeria, and the financial support - on France. The armed forces of Niger, according to experts, are ready to give a serious rebuff.
