Russian Ambassador-at-Large Oleg Ozerov told Sputnik ahead of the second Russia–Africa Summit and Economic Forum that Russia has been receiving requests from Africa to assist it in ensuring security on Tuesday.
Russia's state arms exporter, Rosoboronexport, has signed 150 contracts with African countries since 2019 and boosted deals by $10 billion, Director General Alexander Mikheev has said.
"From 2019 to date, we have inked more than 150 contract documents with African partners and added more than 10 billion dollars to our order book. Our presence during this time has expanded to five more countries of the continent," Mikheev said.
The Rosoboronexport chief added that the company will participate in the second Russia–Africa Summit and Economic Forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg on July 27-28.
Mikheev said that the summit gives "the greatest incentive" to enhance Russia's "comprehensive and equal" cooperation with African countries in all dimensions: politics, security, economy, science and technology, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
According to him, Rosoboronexport's mission at the summit is to elaborate with the delegations of over 30 countries of the continent coming to St. Petersburg, the strategies to combat the main challenges to the global African security architecture.

Mikheev added that the company will showcase military, dual-use and civilian products designed to counter various security threats that are most in demand on the African continent.

A number of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles, such as the Orion strike and reconnaissance drone, the Orlan-10E and Orlan-30 reconnaissance UAVs, and the Kub-E loitering munition, will be on display at the open area of the forum venue.
Together with drones, counter-UAV systems are exhibited, including RB-504P-E, Serp-VS5, Saphir and a number of others. Spartak, Tiger-Raid and Strela armored vehicles are displayed in the armored combat vehicles zone.
