19:19 21.07.2023 (Updated: 10:44 03.08.2023) Ghana is projected to restore its economic growth by 2025, according to a recent World Bank report. This year, the country's economic growth is expected to slow to 1.4% and recover to 3% in 2024. The country's economy was severely beaten by the Covid-19 pandemic, high public debt and declining cocoa production.
The Republic of
Ghana is interested in working together with Russian entrepreneurs in various fields, including the cultivation and production of medical marijuana, a senior member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Ghana, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, told
Sputnik.
He said on the sidelines of a meeting with the President of the Chamber of

"I am not a big expert in marijuana, but I hope that our pharmacists will be able to use this information, we will bring it to their attention," Katyrin responded.
Russia has its own facilities for growing cannabis – its technical non-narcotic varieties. According to Hemp Agro-Industrial Association, cannabis crops in Russia now occupy about 13,000 hectares.
