According to the ministry, Russia is confident "in the continued progressive development of the multidimensional relations" between Moscow and
Kinshasa.
"The USSR was among the first to recognize the independence of the new African state, and provided the country with full moral and material support," according to the ministry, which congratulated its Congolese colleagues and friends on this "joint celebration."
According to Moscow, interaction between Russia and the DRC is currently strong. As a result, there is "potential for expanding trade and economic relations."

The DRC is also home to the Yango cab service, launched in 2022 by the Russian technology group Yandex.
Since 2021, Russian and Congolese groups have been developing copper and cobalt deposits in the southeast of the DRC.
Political dialogue, media interaction, as well as scientific and humanitarian cooperation were also highlighted by Moscow.
