On this occasion, your host, Viktor Anokhin, sits down with Ehiopia's Ambassador to Russia, H.E. Uriat Cham Ugala, to discuss pressing global issues and matters of national importance to Addis Ababa.
The African leaders that came to Moscow to discuss the African peace initiative on the Ukrainian conflict "represent the whole continent of Africa", according to Ethiopian Ambassador to Russia, H.E. Uriat Cham Ugala. The diplomat pointed out that Russia is expected "to work with African nations in our region on fighting terrorism and extremism".Ambassador Cham Ugala believes that "we don't need unilateralism anymore", as "there are some few powerful nations, militarily or economically, that dominated the world and imposed their interests on other, so-called big nations." He explains that "many countries now want to go to multilateralism" because if countries work together to solve global issues "without interference in the domestic aspect of other countries", "this will be the way out in the future".For more details, check out the entire episode of the AfroVerdict podcast, brought to you by Sputnik Africa. In addition to the website, you can also catch our episodes on Telegram.► You can likewise listen to our podcast on Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Castbox, Pocket Casts, Deezer, Podcast Addict and Afripods► Check out all the episodes of AfroVerdict

With more and more countries realising that the unipolar global system no longer has a place in today's world, nations see hope in multilateralism. On this occasion, your host, Viktor Anokhin, sits down with Ethiopia's Ambassador to Russia, H.E.
"So the fact is that they came and said that this problem is our problem because the conflict is affecting the whole world and especially Africans," he elaborates.
The diplomat pointed out that Russia is expected "to work with African nations in our region on fighting terrorism and extremism".
"Russia can play its part to solve the conflict in the regions and making peacekeeping up to the level for the region. And then during the post-conflict development ... Russia can play a lot, in this regard," H.E. Cham Ugala explains.
Ambassador Cham Ugala believes that "we don't need unilateralism anymore", as "there are some few powerful nations, militarily or economically, that dominated the world and imposed their interests on other, so-called big nations."
He explains that "many countries now want to go to multilateralism" because if countries work together to solve global issues "without interference in the domestic aspect of other countries", "this will be the way out in the future".
"The BRICS nations, they are promoting this, to go back to the values and the principles of multilateralism and promoting economic growth for the less developed countries", he elaborates.
