Russia is set to contribute $10 million to the United Nations World Food Programme in a bid to provide humanitarian aid to several African nations.Each country will get funds to the tune of $2.5 million, and the recipients are:According to a press release by the Russian Embassy in Ethiopia, "the funds allocated for the provision of food aid will be used to purchase goods in the Russian Federation and pay for their delivery by Russian organizations."Russia regularly carries out humanitarian initiatives in Africa. That said, Moscow already delivered 20,000 tonnes of fertilizer to Malawi free of charge in March. In May, Kenya received 34 tonnes, and the next in line is Nigeria. Fertilizers are essential components to ensure a good harvest.
