Ethiopia has received awards for the best airline in Africa for six years in a row, as the best business class airline in Africa, and the best economy class airline in Africa for five years, the best business class catering in Africa for two years, and has also become the "Cleanest Airline in Africa."
Ethiopian Airlines won in the category “The Best Airline in Africa” at the SKYTRAX 2023 World Airline Awards, held in France's capital during the Paris Airshow.

"We are truly pleased by the top award that we received today at the admired World Airline Awards. Crowned with Skytrax's prestigious awards for several years in a row is a testimony of our consistency and commitment in delivering high quality services," Mesfin Tasew, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, stated. "We are very proud of the strong vote of confidence of our valued customers, and I would like to thank them and reaffirm that we will continue exceeding their expectations."

The CEO also thanked the staff of the airline, who, as he said, "strive round the clocks to keep the engines" of the company's success run going.

These African Countries Have Best Electrification Levels
SKYTRAX' CEO, Edward Plaisted, has also praised the African nations' company, outlining its consistency.

"Ethiopian Airlines wins this top award as Africa's favorite carrier for a sixth successive year and this level of consistency is a fabulous achievement for all the Ethiopian Airlines management and frontline staff," he said.

Among other African carriers, Royal Air Maroc and South African Airways were ranked second and third, respecitvely.
