Putin Delivers Speech at SPIEF's Plenary Session

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is the largest event of its kind in Russia. This year it is running from June 14 to 17, and for 2023, the forum's featured theme is "Sovereign Development as the Basis for a Just World," which includes discussions related to the world economy at a global turning point.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Algerian counterpart Abdelmajid Tebboune address the plenary session of the 26th edition of SPIEF.
The Algerian president arrived in Moscow on June 13 and held talks with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the heads of the upper and lower houses of parliament.
On Thursday, Tebboune was welcomed by President Putin. During the talks, the heads of state addressed the development of bilateral strategic cooperation in numerous fields.
Following the meeting, the leaders signed a declaration on deepening the Russian-Algerian strategic partnership, focusing on more intensive cooperation in the fields of the military, tourism, geology, nuclear technology, as well as economics.
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov will also attend the plenary session of the economic forum.
