13 bilateral cooperation agreements were signed on Monday in Abidjan between the governments of the Republics of Cote d'Ivoire and Congo, on the occasion of the official visit to Cote d'Ivoire by the president of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso.The agreements, which aim to strengthen existing cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas, and to establish new partnerships, were signed in the presence of the president of the country, Alassane Ouattara, and his Congolese counterpart.These include a framework cooperation agreement between the governments of Cote d'Ivoire and Congo, an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic or service passports, and an agreement on the fight against crime.There are also agreements on civil service and administrative modernization, transport, real estate development and agriculture.Agreements have also been signed on the development and promotion of small and medium-sized businesses, handicrafts and leisure activities, and a technical cooperation agreement on livestock breeding and production.Lastly, a memorandum of understanding between PETROCI Holding of Cote d'Ivoire and the Société Nationale de Pétrole du Congo (SNPC) and a cooperation agreement between the Autonomous Port of Abidjan and the Autonomous Port of Abidjan of Pointe Noire of Congo were initialed.The Congolese president's agenda in Cote d'Ivoire includes one-to-one talks with his counterpart Alassane Ouattara on issues of common interest relating to current events in the world and in Africa.The six-member government delegation accompanying the Congolese head of state is expected to explore with the Ivorian side investment potential and prospects for collaboration contributing to the development of both states.

Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso arrived in Cote d'Ivoire's Abidjan on Monday for a three-day visit, from June 12 to 15.The visit is part of a drive to revitalize cooperation between the two countries and strengthen the bonds of friendship and solidarity between the Ivorian and Congolese peoples.
13 bilateral cooperation agreements were signed on Monday in Abidjan between the governments of the Republics of Cote d'Ivoire and Congo, on the occasion of the official visit to
Cote d'Ivoire by the president of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso.
The agreements, which aim to strengthen existing cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas, and to establish new partnerships, were signed in the presence of the president of the country, Alassane Ouattara, and his Congolese counterpart.
These include a framework cooperation agreement between the governments of Cote d'Ivoire and Congo, an agreement on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic or service passports, and an agreement on the fight against crime.
