Earlier in the day, Ukraine launched a terrorist drone attack on Moscow. Eight aircraft-type UAVs were involved: five were shot down from an anti-aircraft gun complex in the Moscow region, three were suppressed by electronic warfare and deviated from their intended targets, the Russian Defense Ministry noted.
Russia has struck at the Ukrainian military intelligence headquarters, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.
"We have already talked about the possibility of striking at decision-making headquarters, at decision-making centers. Of course, the military intelligence headquarters of Ukraine, which was hit, also belongs to this category," Putin said.
Moreover, Putin noted that Kiev's attempts to provoke a response from Moscow are causing concern, the citizens of Ukraine should understand the consequences of such actions.
“We are worried about attempts to evoke a response from Russia, apparently, this is planned. They provoke us to mirror actions, let’s see what to do with it. But the citizens of Ukraine, who, of course, have no word now, since total terror has been unleashed against the civilian population, after all, they should know what the current leadership of this country is pushing for," the Russian president underscored.
The attack on civilian targets in Moscow confirms the methods Ukraine employs, according to Putin.

"We did not unleash this war in 2014 - the Kiev regime unleashed a war in the Donbass. And we do not use these means, which are used by Ukrainian bigwigs. Another confirmation of this is the attack on peaceful facilities in Moscow," he asserted.

Thus, the Russian leader emphasized, the armed forces were forced to respond to the war unleashed by Ukraine in the Donbass, but unlike Kiev, they strike only at military infrastructure.
"The Russian Armed Forces, which were forced to respond, Russia was forced to respond to the war unleashed by the Ukrainian regime in the Donbass ... by launching a special military operation. They strike at the territory of Ukraine, but with long-range precision weapons precisely at military infrastructure facilities, or at warehouses with ammunition," Putin concluded.

The Russian Defense Ministry said prior to that the Russian Armed Forces launched missile strikes on Ukrainian decision-making centers, where terrorist attacks on the Russian territory were being prepared under the guidance of Western experts. All designated facilities were hit, the ministry said.
At the same time, it was not specified which exactly decision-making centers were targeted. Some Ukrainian media reported that the attack was on the office of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the same information was published by Ukrainian politician Ilya Kiva.
The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the drone attack, said that this is the response of the Kiev regime to Sunday's effective strikes of the Russian military on one of the decision-making centers.
