Russia Has No Other Options But to Eliminate Zelensky, Says Medvedev
MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia has no other options but to eliminate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after the recent drone attack on the Kremlin residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday.
“After today's terrorist attack, there are no options left except for the physical elimination of Zelensky and his cabal,” Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.
On Wednesday, two drones
attempted to strike the Kremlin in Moscow in what Russia says was a Ukrainian assassination attempt on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"We regard these actions as a planned terrorist act and an attempt on the life of the Russian president, carried out on the eve of Victory Day, the May 9 Parade, at which the presence of foreign guests is also planned," the Kremlin said in a statement.
The Russia leader was not injured as a result of the attack on his residence. As a result of the fall and scattering of drone fragments on the territory of the Kremlin, there were no casualties and material damage.
Commenting on the attack, Russian parliament's lower house Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said on Wednesday that a "terrorist attack" against President Putin is attack against Russia, and the "Kiev regime"
should be labeled as terrorist organization.
There can be no negotiations with the regime of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Volodin added.
"Western politicians pumping Zelenskyy's regime with weapons should understand that they have become not only sponsors, but also direct accomplices in terrorist activities," Volodin concluded.
Ukraine has denied involvement in the attack.
