SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (Sputnik) - SpaceX has described the nearly 400-foot tall rocket as the most powerful ever built and capable of launching payloads to the Moon and Mars. The rocket is also designed to be fully reusable in all its stages.
SpaceX's Starship exploded on Thursday during the first test flight of the spacecraft.
Following the test, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk congratulated his team with the "exciting test launch" and announced that next test launch will take place "in a few months".
Three minutes after a successful launch of SpaceX's Starship and Super Heavy rocket system from Starbase, Texas, an emergency situation occurred, the rocket began to "spin", the first stage did not separate.
On Monday, SpaceX postponed its highly anticipated debut launch of its Starship rocket system just minutes before liftoff due to a pressurization issue with its Super Heavy booster.
