Partner Russian Houses will appear in Madagascar and Sierra Leone, Russian humanitarian agency Rossotrudnichestvo told Sputnik.
For Madagascar, this is the first experience of cooperation with Rossotrudnichestvo, while other countries such as Bolivia, Brazil, Iraq, Sierra Leone, and Thailand have extended the validity of previously concluded agreements, the agency said.
According to the head of the agency, Yevgeny Primakov, this is an important event for strengthening Russia’s cultural, educational, and humanitarian ties.
"Round tables on the promotion of the Russian language, meetings with deputies of the Madagascar-Russia Friendship group, and visits to schools in Antananarivo, where Russian is taught as an optional subject, are planned in Madagascar,” Rossotrudnichestvo clarified.
The global network of partner Russian Houses has expanded to 23 organizations in 20 countries. More than half are located on the African continent. Four representative offices operate in Asia, three in the Middle East, two in Latin America, and one in Europe.
