A group of five African countries filed a lawsuit against one of France's leading entrepreneurs, billionaire Vincent Bolloré, on charges of fraud and corruption, as reported by the Club of Mozambique portal.
According to the media, Ghana, Guinea, Cote d'Ivoire, Cameroon, and Togo allege that Vincent Bolloré and one of his sons illegally obtained concessions to operate seaports on the African continent and illegally enriched themselves from this.
Investigators are also looking into allegations that Bolloré illegally supported the 2010 presidential campaigns of Faure Gnassingbé in Togo and Alpha Condé in Guinea in exchange for port concessions in Lomé and Conakry, respectively.
According to Forbes magazine, the Bolloré family's fortune is estimated at $9.9 billion. It owns several right-wing media outlets in France.
