"I'm not gonna comment on what he [Macron] said, because I don't know what he said. I know what I heard, the body language I witnessed. I saw a constructive effort [from Russia] over a long period of time to discuss the specifics of what's going on in the field," Witkoff told CBS.
Moreover, a potential agreement on the Black Sea is discussed within contacts on Ukraine, he said.
"There are different conditions of battlefield; we've got to discuss that. There are regions that we all know Russians are focused on; there is a nuclear reactor that supplies quite a bit of electricity to the country of Ukraine. That's got to be dealt with. There is access to ports; there is the Black Sea potential agreement. There are just so many elements to the implementation of ceasefire here," Witkoff stated.
