The Russian Armed Forces have launched a large-scale offensive in the Kursk region in all directions, with the enemy retreating and abandoning positions, deputy head of the Russian Defense Ministry's military-political office Maj. Gen. Apti Alaudinov said on Saturday.
"Our Russian warriors from all units decided to make a gift to our women — the women of Russia. In all directions of the Kursk section of the front, all units went on a large-scale offensive. The enemy is abandoning positions, leaving their established areas. Our guys are moving forward very well," Alaudinov said on his Telegram channel.
The Russian Sever (North) battlegroup activated every front where its units were located, the general noted.
"We are hitting the enemy and will make them regret coming to our native land," Alaudinov added.
Ukrainian troops lost more than 65,500 servicemen during the offensive in the Kursk region launched in August, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
