Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen announced on Sunday that he had ordered an immediate halt to electricity supplies to the Gaza Strip.
"I have just signed an order to immediately cut off electricity supply to Gaza. We are using every tool at our disposal to ensure the release of all hostages and to guarantee that Hamas will not remain in Gaza the day after the war," Cohen said in a video address.
