The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have no military presence in Alkotainh, located in the White Nile State, the media reported, citing a local volunteer group.
Alkotainh, previously the only town controlled by the RSF in southern Sudan, is located 100 km south of Khartoum. The RSF still controls four of Darfur's five states, while northern and eastern Sudan remain mostly unaffected by the conflict.
In Khartoum State, the army controls 90% of Bahri in the north, most of Omdurman in the west, and 60% of central Khartoum, including key sites. Army forces have nearly encircled these strategic locations, while RSF fighters remain in the eastern and southern neighborhoods, according to the media.
