Russian FM Lavrov to Visit Iran in Near Future

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - On Saturday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said that Lavrov would pay an official visit to Tehran in the coming days to hold meetings with Iranian officials and discuss regional and international cooperation between Moscow and Tehran.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Iran in the near future, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told Sputnik.
"Yes, such a visit is scheduled for the near future," Zakharova said.
The spokeswoman added that the official date would be announced later.
