Russia has called on all responsible UN member states to withdraw the Darfur case from the International Criminal Court (ICC) before bad consequences follow, Russian Deputy Ambassador to the United Nations Maria Zabolotskaya said.
"We'd therefore like to once again call for all responsible states to withdraw the Darfur file from the ICC before its politicized independent action results in catastrophic consequences," Zabolotskaya told the UN Security Council on Monday.
She added that the "pseudo-court" is only advancing the interests of wealthy Western countries.
