A fuel tanker truck with a defective brake system crashed into several other vehicles on an expressway in the southeastern Nigerian state of Enugu, killing 18 people, Olusegun Ogungbemide, a spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps, said.
According to him, ten people were injured.
Earlier, the National Orientation Agency was tasked with launching a nationwide campaign to educate the public on the dangers of scooping fuel from fallen tankers.
