Nigerian President Bola Tinubu commissioned a new military barracks in Abuja for Nigerian Army personnel on Thursday.
Built to address Army housing shortages, the "Bola Ahmed Tinubu Barracks" in Asokoro offers accommodation for various ranks, from major generals down to corporals and below. The complex includes sports facilities, worship centers, and infrastructure such as roads and a powerhouse.
At the commissioning, Bola Tinubu hailed Nigerian Armed Forces personnel as heroes and pledged his administration's unwavering commitment to their welfare, underscoring the barracks project as a testament to this pledge.
The barracks project, conceived by Major General Philip Eromosele, was fully funded by the late Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.
