Nigeria's Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Africa's largest, has decreased Nigeria's reliance on European petroleum imports, according to OPEC's report.
Nigeria's oil product imports declined, improving its external sector in late 2024, OPEC said.
According to OPEC, Nigeria's crude oil production in December was 1.507 million barrels per day (bpd), based on secondary sources, a slight increase from November. However, the Nigerian government reported a lower figure of 1.485 mbpd.
