China has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the modernization of Global South countries, emphasizing its role in fostering global connectivity.
The world's second-largest economy will continue to prioritize consultation and collaboration, contributing to development efforts through initiatives like the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated.
Guo highlighted connectivity as a key component of the BRI, aligning with the Global South's development aspirations. He further emphasized China's plans to build an international logistics corridor, integrating land and sea routes to enhance global connectivity.
This strategy is further complemented by China's recent announcement of 15 measures to stimulate growth in its western region.
China aims to foster mutually beneficial partnerships, promoting high-quality development and increased openness for sustainable, resilient growth while sharing opportunities with the global community, the diplomat added.
