Russia cooperates with Africa on the principle of mutual benefit, which creates favorable conditions for both sides, Steve Mikaya, member of the National Assembly of Malawi and Pan-African Parliament, told Sputnik.
This is exactly what Africa expects from development partners, the politician stressed.
He also noted that the continent's countries are seeking to avoid a situation in which foreign partners would primarily be interested in exporting the continent's natural resources.
Earlier, the Pan-African Parliament delegation visited the Saur-Mogila memorial complex in the Donetsk People's Republic. The delegation consisted of representatives from Ethiopia, Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, South Sudan, Comoros, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea, Djibouti, Eswatini, Zambia, Somalia and Mozambique.
