Ukraine needs to stop supplying US weapons to militants in Syria immediately, Mojtaba Damirchilou, the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s Eurasian Department head, said on Friday.
Damirchilou also said that weapons supplies to Syrian militants are conducted "in clear violation of international counter-terrorism law," as quoted by Iranian broadcaster.
Earlier, a renegade from the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham* told Sputnik that the Ukrainian instructors are teaching Syrian terrorists how to use kamikaze drones against the positions of Russian forces in the Idlib de-escalation zone and the rest of Syria.
The armed conflict in Syria started in 2011 between the government of Bashar Assad and various armed groups, including terrorists. Daesh*, also known as ISIS, was declared defeated in late 2017, and Damascus has since continued raids to wipe out remaining cells, chiefly in the country's northwest.
