Uruguayans will go to the polls on Sunday to vote in the second round of the presidential election.
Left-wing candidate Yamandu Orsi and Delgado of the ruling centrist National Party are leading a field of 11 candidates seeking to replace outgoing President Luis Lacalle, who has a high approval rating but is constitutionally barred from seeking a second consecutive term.
"The conditions are there for us to take over... to make the changes the country needs," Orsi said at a final campaign rally on Wednesday.
The first round of voting was accompanied by a referendum asking Uruguayans whether the police should be allowed to carry out night raids in the fight against drug trafficking. The initiative failed, according to reports.
