India's Ambassador to Ethiopia, Anil Kumar Rai, expressed the country's strong interest in expanding economic cooperation with Ethiopia, particularly in mining, construction, and infrastructure, in an interview with Ethiopian state media.
He also cited the strong bilateral partnership and substantial presence of Indian companies.
Ethiopia's untapped mineral resources, including phosphate, iron ore, and gold, are prime targets for Indian investment, leveraging India's expertise, the ambassador said, noting that India also seeks broader collaboration in construction and urban development.
The ambassador expressed confidence that Ethiopia's economic reforms will establish it as a major investment hub, attracting global investment, including significant contributions from India.
