Air Tanzania will launch direct flights to Johannesburg, South Africa, beginning November 30. The new route will offer four weekly flights from Dar es Salaam starting November 30 using Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft with 181 seats each. The airline aims to serve both business and leisure travelers with this strategic expansion of its African network.
This expansion offers nearly 3,000 monthly seats in each direction, joining Airlink as the only other airline serving this route. This move strengthens Air Tanzania's position in African aviation, supporting its regional growth ambitions and fostering trade and tourism links across the continent.
