Rospotrebnadzor experts began conducting advanced training courses for Malagasy specialists in the microbiology, diagnostics and epidemiology of plague in the capital of Madagascar, Antananarivo, on Monday.
This is the first such event in Madagascar, which brought together 30 specialists from the Ministry of Public Health o of the Republic of Madagascar from various regions of the country.
Over the course of 5 days, Russian experts will exchange experience in the field of microbiology, diagnostics and epidemiology of plague. Rospotrebnadzor specialists will share knowledge on methods for ensuring epidemiological well-being, organizing monitoring in infection foci, as well as experience in rapid response to plague, including using mobile laboratories.
This training is part of the Russian president's initiative to assist African countries in preventing and controlling infectious diseases. The program will run until 2026.
